NIU Wushu Kung Fu Academy

Every year, we select one honor student every three months, this student has to show qualities such as perseverance, concentration, consistency, as well as being respectful to the teacher and being helpful to other students in class.

2019

GIANG TRAN

Giang always shows the focus and perseverance in every class she attends. Even when she exceeds the level of the class, she continues to put forth her best effort in order to better herself. Her consistent performance in each and every class has impressed me and everyone else at the academy. Jiayo!

HANU RAMDOSS

Hanu joined NIU Academy about 2 years ago. He wasn't very strong and was taking several medications everyday because his asthma and other allergy symptoms, after nearly two years of wushu training consistently, his health has a significant improvement and his medications has been down to one.  Hanu is definitely a self-motivator, he dose everything team training requires without having someone to remind him.  He is very serious about his training progress and attendance, he stays focus to solve each correction I give to him, but keeps himself being positive and happy at the same time - even when he is somewhat frustrated! Hanu is also a good team player, he always cheers and encourages for other teammates, definitely holds up our team spirit well!

Hanu Ramdoss has met and exceeded many of our expectations and will continue to do so now as the honor student of the quarter. Keep up the good work!

KEVIN BAE

Kevin came to NIU Academy back in 2017, he was quiet, slightly hunched back and was not able to use his strength to their full capacity. Nonetheless, it did not take us long to notice this hard-working boy with a quiet personality. Pretty soon, everyone was surprised by Kevin’s focus, effort, and most of all, his consistency in every class he attended. In April 2019, Kevin received his first gold medal in Tai Chi Quan (太極拳), it is a rare achievement for kids in his age. He will continue to grow and polish his passion for Tai Chi Quan with all the support from the coaches and teachers.

NICK MOHANDESI

Nick is a 9 year-old boy who has been training at NIU Academy for the past two years. Nick enjoys learning all aspects of martial arts, and his self-motivated and never-give-up attitude has impressed everyone in the classes he attends. His undying spirit surpasses the majority of our school and has grown into a strong young man.
WAY TO GO, Nick!
